Dr. Sorce completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at the Michigan State University Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. He received his medical degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.Dr. Sorce performs orthopaedic surgery, with special emphasis on arthritis of the hip and knee, minimally invasive computer-assisted total joint replacement, orthopaedic trauma surgery and sports medicine. Prior to moving to the Detroit area in 2007, he was the Head of Rehabilitative Services at Hillsdale Community Health Center, and the Team Orthopaedic Surgeon for Hillsdale College. For nearly 6 years, Dr. Sorce also served as Assistant Professor at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Dr. Sorce is board-certified and fellow to the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member, Diplomate and fellow to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the Michigan Orthopaedic Society.Outside of his office and the operating room, Dr. Sorce enjoys educating the community and other surgeons. He frequently gives community lectures about joint replacement surgeries and other orthopaedic topics.
