In his presentation, Early Experiences Elevate Everything, Dr. Dipesh Navsaria discusses the critical importance of the first 1,000 days of life and early education programs, such as One City Early Learning Centers, a new two-generation preschool in Madison, Wisconsin. One City was established to prepare children for school and life success before they enter kindergarten, while assisting their parents and serving as extended family as well.

How Promoting Literacy is a Remarkable Approach to Many Things | Dipesh Navsaria | TEDxUWMadison
A doctor's perspective on the effects of encouraging literacy among young children, as early as 12 months old. In this educational talk, Dr. Navsaria points out the pros and cons of childhood literacy and vouches for his program encouraging literacy in kids. Dr. Dipesh Navsaria practices primary-care pediatrics at a community health center working with underserved populations. He is involved in advocacy training for residents, medical students, and practicing physicians. His educational interests also include public and population health training for clinicians. Additionally, Dr Navsaria is strongly engaged with early literacy programs in health care settings, particularly around ideas of early brain and child development, which include neurobiological effects of adversity and poverty upon the developing brain. A dynamic speaker who easily translates basic science and clinical medicine for a wide variety of audiences in order to shape programs and policy, Dr Navsaria lectures locally, regionally and nationally on early literacy, early brain and child development, child health advocacy and technology.
