John E. LaMacchia, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in Surgery of the Spine. Dr. LaMacchia was named 2013 Doctor of the Year by Crittenton Hospital. He was born and raised in an adjacent suburb of Detroit, Michigan and did his undergraduate training at the University of Michigan in Dearborn. Medical school was completed at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. His five year Orthopaedic Surgery residency was completed at the Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center with extensive exposure to complex Orthopaedic Trauma. This was followed by advanced postgraduate fellowship training in Surgery of the Spine in both Louisville, Kentucky and in Detroit, Michigan.
Conditions that are treated by Dr. LaMacchia include degenerative changes of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
