I think the most important thing about getting into medicine was my ability to bond with people and to care for them in times of need. I picked the specialty that I did because I felt that it covered the widest range of possible organ systems and it allowed me to interact with the greatest number of people.
I think the part of my job that gives me the most satisfaction is having patients come to understand the problems they are dealing with and guiding them through those problems to a satisfactory conclusion. When that happens, everybody is happy and that seems to work the best for everybody.
