Dr. Miles Day Discusses the Role of Interventional Pain Management

Dr. Miles Day serves as the Medical Director of the Grace Health System Pain Management Center. Dr. Day is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

When it comes to chronic pain Dr. May is very frank, open and honest about the subject.

“I always tell folks if you don’t understand it, just imagine the worse pain you felt if you had some minor injury. Imagine having that pain 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year. Imagine how that makes you feel, imagine how much you change, because there are certain things you cannot do.”-Dr. Day.

In the video Dr. Day says that, Pain management is the art of treating one of the most common reasons somebody comes to see a physician, 'Doctor, I hurt.' Well, we have to figure out, one: What typpe of pain the patient is having and two: The best way to treat it. Pain management is the field where if certain medications are not working, you have experts who do this 24x 7. They can help find out where the pain is coming from because not all pains
are the same.
