Dr. Pam Taub is a board certified cardiologist at UCSD, specializing in general and preventive cardiology and women's cardiovascular health. She obtained her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at University of Washington in Seattle. She then completed at cardiology fellowship at University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Taub is active in clincial research and has recevied funding from the National Institues of Health and American College of Cardiology.
She is currently conducting research on novel biomarkers (blood tests for early diagnosis of heart disease) and the beneficial effects of dark chocolate on the heart.
