Dr. Kormelli: We're very much about being real, genuine and natural.
Interviewer: What geno [SP] products, or just something as a simple cleanser is something good to have, you know, like in their medicine cabinet?
Dr. Kormelli: That's a really good question. So if you have oily skin, you wanna get rid of all the oil on top because that does clog up your pores. There's many different kinds, and luckily they are all available for you and you can actually try them on. There is a lot of washes specifically made for people who are prone to problems. And also the retinol products help to exfoliate and clean out the pores. So that's a really good way to do it. But anything that has...you want to look for benzoyl peroxide which works really great for acne. And you can use it alone or in combination with one of the prescription products that we give you guys.
Interviewer: All right, maybe a little bit more dry than oily?
Dr. Kormelli: You know there is different kinds of oil. There is oil that will fight the gland that's causing acne, and then there is the natural lipid on top of your skin. So if you're using products that are very harsh and you're getting very, very dry, and that's the reason people feel very dry. But moisturer that actually has the right SPF and a moisturizer built in one. so you can just put that on, and that's a really good start, and you can build your make up on top of it, or whatever else you wanna do.
Interviewer: Why do I have to have SPF in my moisturizer? Why is it so important?
Dr. Kormelli: Well, do they want skin cancer and black welty skin? It's really simple, especially, you know, us ethnic population, we turn dark a lot quicker because we have a lot more what's called melanin which is a pigment that our skin makes. So our cells make a lot more. So when you go out in the sun, we turn tanned, but we also get blotchier. Now the problem is, once you get blotchy, it's much. much harder to get rid of blotchiness as much on our skin as opposed to someone who is blonde, blue eyes. So prevention is really, really important with our type of skin.
Interviewer: Well, thank you so much Chicka.
Dr. Kormelli: Thank you, my pleasure.
Interviewer: Goodbye.
